A: Yes, Cedar Ridge Retreat and Conference Center is open
year around for the convenience of our guests. Many wonderful events,(weddings, retreats) are held during the pristine fall and winter months when the air is crisp and everything is either
very green or hosts a coat of white snow. This time period provides wonderful opportunities for viewing indigenous wildlife, or enjoying a fire in the lodge, while attending your retreat.
Summers are also a very active time of year, with company picnics and camps filling the pool and enjoying the slightly cooler weather than the valley. Back to top

Center has become a unique property that can accommodate events from 30 to 500 plus. Whether it is a small retreat, company picnic or large youth camp, we have the expertise and space and
amenities to make your event a successful one. Our property is naturally tiered by the land, making it very easy to feel at home in a small retreat setting, or a large group

Q: Where are you exactly? What is around you?
A: Coveted by trees in the gorgeous
coastal range of northern Oregon, Cedar Ridge Retreat and Conference Center is located about 45 minutes from Portland, west on highway 26 and then north on highway 47 to Vernonia. On the
way to Vernonia, you will notice that there is a U-fish pond for kids and adults, Stub Stewart State Park (Oregon's newest), with great hiking, horse-trails and incredible views. Just as
you come into Vernonia, you might see the sign to Vernonia's own public 18 hole golf course (not Pebble Beach, but fun to play). The city of Vernonia has activities on the week-ends
through-out most the year from Quilting Bee's, Salmon Festivals and many artisan events. There is a community lake in Vernonia for boating, fishing and hiking around. During your stay at
Cedar Ridge, you will very likely see deer, elk, eagles, great blue herons, fox and coyotes. Back to top

very detailed "shabby chic" environment for a more particular group. Our goal is to operate ourselves as a sustainable property that is run with a dedication to protecting our environment,
being easy on the land, recycling, and practicing conscious business practices that support organic, local and regional business. Our clients tell us that it is very comfortable and

Q: What amenities do you have?
A: Cedar Ridge Retreat is tucked amidst
the trees, providing our guests with opportunities to experience wildlife, nature trails along the banks of Rock Creek, an array of outdoor sports areas, a heated swimming pool, a 350' Slip
N Slide" (picnic and camp favorite), a low ropes challenge course and campfire area, just to name a few. Our conference center offers an AV system with an In-Focus machine, wireless
internet and we also have breakout spaces available for small group sessions. The House and Lodge feature solid wood bunk beds with linens, comforters and pillows, 7 full bathrooms, one
with handicap access. The House is equipped with a full kitchen and great room with a wood-burning fireplace while most rooms enjoy a great view of the coastal foothills and a magical

has the unique ability to service and take care of a wide variety of clients. From Yoga Camps and Spiritual Retreats, Women's Weekend Away! retreats, University Team Building and Corporate
Retreats, to Company Picnics, Weddings and Receptions, Family Reunions, a variety of Youth Camps and of course, the Home of The Larry Steele Basketball Camp. We have the potential to be a
great site for spiritually based retreats, and have served large churches as well as Buddhist teachers traveling from China. We are committed to inclusion and respecting the spiritual paths

Q: Can we prepare our own meals?
A: Our packages generally include meals.
Most clients at Cedar Ridge choose to use and enjoy our dining facility and menu selections for convenience and safety. There is however, a kitchen in the lodge/house area that small groups
may use to prepare food for an additional fee. We prefer to not allow groups into our commercial kitchen for security and safety precautions. At times, we may allow a group to cook in our
commercial kitchen area with the support of our staff. Back to top
Q: What is the average cost/person for meals and lodging?
A: Cedar Ridge has two
packages of meals and lodging to choose from with one leaning towards the "camper and youth" groups and another that is geared towards retreats with upscale menu options considering
organics, local and seasonal produce and meats and purchasing from businesses that are sustainable in nature. Average costs for campers groups which include lodging and 3 meals, are $49-$63
range while Retreat packages are generally in the $57-$72 range. "Lodging only" can run from $24.50 to $38.50 a night per person while individual meal choices may be purchased from $6.75 to
$14.00 or more, as we customize many meals for our clients. Most importantly, we customize. So, if you like the look and feel of Cedar Ridge, give us a call and we will do our best to meet

Q: What is the lodging like?
A: Depending on what type of group you have,
Campers enjoy our heated cabins, canvas tent and small cabin platforms which offer bunk beds and mattresses along with heated bathhouses. The upper grounds, including the Lodge and House on
the hill, offers large and small bedrooms with single and double bunk beds, linens, comforters and pillows. Towels are provided for the house and lodge, and this area sleeps up to 55 with 7
full bathrooms. The Lodge and House also includes a large kitchen and great room for relaxing, reading or stoking up the wood burning stove. Back to top
Q: Do you need a deposit?
A: Once an agreement is reached on lodging, the
number of attendees, meals and options, a contract will be sent for you to look over, sign and send back. At this time, there will be a 25% deposit required to hold your event on the dates
you requested. The deposit is always applied against the total invoice on your final bill. We may require a credit card to hold as a security deposit as well. Back to
Q: Are there any fees or taxes that are not listed?
A: Our pricing is largely
"all-inclusive", with a few exceptions. Additional charges may come into play depending on some of the amenities you wish to have at a function. For example, our 350' Slip N Slide for a
picnic, or time slots for the use of the swimming pool (lifeguard fee), or additional building or equipment rental. The bottom line is that all charges will be clearly communicated, and you
will not have to factor in any taxes or additional charges once your contract is agreed upon. We like to keep the contract simple and easy to understand for everyone. Back to
